The Daman Family | Portraits

It all started when I asked if I could exploit her daughter’s cuteness for one of my photo class projects. I needed to document different kinds of relationships, and mother-daughter was on my list. The Daman’s were a family on staff with the Navigtors, a Christian ministry at Penn State, and it just so happened that they had an adorable one-year old named Olivia who was in need of some birthday pictures.

I had no idea what I was doing. I’d never photographed babies before and was convinced that she’d be terrified of my camera and cry the whole time I was there. Thankfully, Olivia is not only one of the cutest little girls around, she’s also one of the most photogenic! When Damans had their second child, Isaac, this spring, I knew he’d be just as adorable. (Caroline and Nate, you two make some darn cute babies!) So when Caroline asked if we could get together for a shoot one last time before we both left State College, I couldn’t resist. Not only are they growing their family this year with Isaac, but they’re also making the move back home to Massachusetts to be a part of the ministry as Navs Staff there! Caroline and Nate, it’s been amazing to get to know you and your beautiful family over the past few years. I wish you guys the best and I can’t wait to hear about the big things that you’ll do for God in Massachusetts! Enjoy some shots of our afternoon at Penn State’s arboretum!

Olivia was SO proud of herself for sitting on the rock alone. It’s the little things.
Oh, HELLO gorgeous baby!
Love.

Olivia loved giving kisses to her brother.

Those eyes!

We couldn’t end without a few shots of Mom and Dad!
