Avery & Wade | West Chester Wedding

It began in India, of all places. She met him and something just felt comfortable. Maybe it was all of their similarities; families who are on staff for Campus Crusade for Christ, a passion for learning, they even both went by their middle names. Whatever it was, Avery found herself hanging out with this boy a lot. Calls made home to friends had them wondering who this Wade boy was, but Avery was quick to respond with, “Ew, no. He has long hair.”

But long hair can but cut, and even when Avery and Wade returned to the States after working with Cru on a Summer Project, they didn’t lose touch. A year and a half went by and Wade already knew how he felt about the girl with the pretty red hair, but it took Avery a little longer to come around. So God did what He does best and surprised Avery when she finally realized that Wade was the kind of man she could be with. Which brought them to this day.

Avery’s family home looked beautiful. Handmade bouquets lined tables in the backyard and string after string of cafe lights were ready to light up the night. But the real scene to see was taking place five minutes away at West Chester Baptist Church, where Avery’s dad walked her down the aisle to the man who looked at her with more love in his eyes than he knew what to do with. Wade and Avery, I am so happy for you two and so incredibly honored to have been able to be a part of your day. Thank you for trusting me to be there on such a significant day in your life. You, dear Power Couple, are going to do amazing things together for the Kingdom, and I can’t wait to see what that brings! Congratulations again, and I hope that you’re enjoying Jamaica!!

Avery wore her mother’s gorgeous wedding gown. Avis, you are stunning.
Loved the guys’ ties from The Tie Bar!
Time yet??
So, aside from his years of rocking the long hair, Wade also enjoys covering his head with any and all kinds of hats, so the groomsmen paid him a little homage…
Special shout out to Jason for not letting a little food poisoning keep him from rockin it! ;) And here is when I lost it a little… See that? THAT’S the look. Married!! Lordy! We didn’t have a ton of time before we lost light, but these two knocked it out. Favorite!
Elephants decorated the reception and were given out at favors as a nod to Avery and Wade’s time spent in India. Love this one! Find the photog :)

Featured! | Love and Lavender » Stephanie Dee Photography - […] Avery reached out to me a few weeks after her wedding, and sincerely told me how much her photos meant to her, and that she earnestly thought I should consider submitting them to be published; specifically on Green Wedding Shoes, her (and my!) favorite wedding blog. I stared at the message with wide eyes, baffled. I was so honored that Avery enjoyed her photos, but that much? Avery’s was the first wedding I photographed on my own, not as a second shooter. I am proud of the work I did that day, and was so full of love as I sent those images to Avery, but I also learned a LOT that day. Yet, here was my friend, urging me to dream a little bigger… […]ReplyCancel
