Each story was from a different time in their lives, told by different friends from different places who had completely different connection to them, but in each one ran a common thread: Jess and Phil share themselves. Not just with each other, but with every person around them. Phil’s roommates told of Jess’ fabulous cooking skills, friends noted how the two were always ready to give up their own time to spend it with others, and mentors witnessed to how selflessly they had both shared the love of Christ with those around them during their time in College. And so there might be the best description of their relationship: one that shares themselves freely and unabashedly.
Their day couldn’t have reflected them any better. A relaxed, laidback and fun celebration at Julia’s Bed and Breakfast, set under the most perfect blue skies, surrounded by the people who have been blessed to have Jess and Phil in their lives. From the hand-made yard games (awesome!), to the potatoe skin appetizers (delicious!), to the surprise dance performance put on by the bride and groom (so fun!), the day was 100% Jess And Phil.
You two, thank you a million times over for letting me be part of your lives in this way. I’m so blessed to have you as friends and am so thankful that you trust me enough to photograph your WEDDING DAY. Jess, wasn’t it just last week that we were in my dorm dreaming about this day? I can’t believe the past three and a half years have gone so fast, but it’s been an honor to watch you guys and the way you love, and I can’t wait to see what it waiting for you in the next chapter!
Introducing: Mr and Mrs Ramsey. I drooled all day long over Jess’ gorgeous Sottero and Midgley dress. Absolutely perfect for her. Jess wore a pearl strand in her hair from her grandfather, with one pearl added for each birthday.
I was SO excited that Jess and Phil decided to do a first look! The day had so much more time and was so relaxed for it.
Checking out his girl :) Love, love, love this.
Those EYES, Jess!
Phil, you must have been practicing your model look cause you nailed it!
Jess, you make a stunning bride.
The Dad Moment gets me every. single. time.
Heart-melting proof that first looks don’t take away from the walk-down-the-aisle moment.
Love this idea of a signature quilt in place of a guest book.
Phil handpainted the corn hole games. Always love a good Penn State shoutout :)
Still love each other even after cake is shoved in faces. And I’ll end on this one, dancing away as the sun sets.
