It was a perfect Sunday afternoon. I couldn’t have planned a better evening if I tried. The temperature was mild and breezy, the sun was the kind of golden that drenches everything it touches in magical light, and the crisp scent of fall was starting to make its way across the river. And Maggie, Dan, and I weren’t the only ones out to enjoy it. We walked the C&O canal trail right beside the Potomac River in search of spots that offered a little more privacy than the worn stones of the tow path, and what we found were breathtaking views with gorgeous light. Honestly, this trail was so beautiful, I found myself wishing I could shoot there every day! But location aside, what made this session truly special was Maggie and Dan. I’d known Maggie a little at Penn State, and even from a distance knew her as a kind, beautiful woman of God. Bring Dan into the mix and they become God’s power couple! Together are so kind, so encouraging, and just so darn fun to be around. If I wasn’t squealing about the image that was in front of me, I was laughing with them.
So Maggie and Dan, I am so excited to share these with you! I loved my time with you and I’m even more excited for your wedding in just a few short months!
You know it’s going to be a great session when photos like this happen in the first five minutes!
I just love the way Dan looks at Maggie…
Work. it. Maggie! I loved Maggie and Dan’s location/outfit combo. They love being outdoors together, and they love dressing well, so why NOT combine the two? Maggie handled some mild climbing and hiking in a pencil skirt like a champ. Are you two gonna save some gorgeous for the rest of us? Just as the sun was setting we hiked down to check out the view from the water. So worth it.
