Favorite Things: Red Cup Season

There’s been a lot of talk about Red recently. Maybe you exercised your civil duty as an American by supporting your candidate on Tuesday and voting Red. Maybe you’ve been listening to T. Swift’s newest album on repeat since it came out three weeks ago and can’t stop singing along to Red. (Guilty!) But today, I’m excited about the kind of Red that only comes around once a year. I’m talking about the Red that makes the world starts to feel a little bit more cheerful and the chill of the cold weather doesn’t seem quite as bad, because we’re all sure that there is snow just around the corner. I’m talking about the Red that lets you know it’s holiday season—the day after Halloween. Yup, I’m talking about Starbucks Red cups!

Now, I know some people take issue with how early Starbucks declares to the world that holiday season has arrived. I get that. As one of its biggest fans, I’m certainly not one to usher Fall out the door just because Halloween is over. Even now, in just the right glowing afternoon light, the leaves that are left on the maple trees can make it look we’re still in an autumn wonderland when apples are ripe for picking and pumpkin patches are filled with families selecting this year’s jack-o-lantern. Still, I never say no to holiday cheer, and I think Starbucks has found one of the best ways to spread it. (After singing loud for all to hear, of course!)

Have you gotten your first Starbucks red cup this year? If not, don’t worry! I’ve got you covered. Just leave a comment below or on the Stephanie Dee Photography Facebook page, and share your favorite Starbucks holiday drink, and you’ll be entered to win a $25 Starbucks gift card! So easy, right? A random winner will be picked next Friday, November 16, so come back to the blog to see if you’ve won. And don’t forget to spread the holiday cheer by sharing this with your friends ;)

P.S.- My favorite Starbucks holiday drink? Pumpkin Spice Lattes, of course!
