Favorite Things: Anthropologie

Considering that most of you fabulous people reading this blog are probably females in your mid-20’s, I’m sure that I’m preaching to the choir on this one. I remember when I first discovered Anthropologie. I was at a mall in New York visiting my sister over spring break when one of those always-inspiring window displays stopped me in my tracks and beckoned me inside. The colors. The textures. The beautiful, beautiful accessories on display at every turn. Friends, if you asked me if I believed in love at first sight, I’d have to say yes because that is how I feel about EVERYTHING THAT ANTHROPOLOGIE HAS EVER MADE EVER. Whew.

But if you’re a part of the Anthro love fest like I am, then you know that there is a tragic side to this love story. Take one look at the price of that perfect bag or that dress that is the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen and you might understand how Juliet feels after she awakens from her coma and find Romeo dead. It really is a true tragedy. “For never was a story of more woe/ Than this of Stephanie and her Anthro.” (Ahem. Forgive me, Shakespeare lovers!)

I may not be able to afford most of the gorgeous items at Anthropologie, but what I can afford are exactly three knobs! I shared at the beginning of the month that I’ve just moved to a townhouse, and after moving in I found myself with a knob-less Ikea wardrobe. At just $8 a pop these beauties make me feel oh-so high end and infuse a little bit of Anthro gorgeousness into my everyday. Sometimes, when I go to choose my outfit in the mornings, I find myself just staring at the doorknobs instead. Whoops! I’ve been having a grand time decorating and organizing my room, and I can’t wait to share the final product with you, but for now, I’ve got a little sneak peek of my new to-die-for teal knobs from Anthro! Love em!
