Sarah & Matt | Baltimore Engagement Session

“Yes!” she said. “Yes. Yes!!”

Matt hadn’t gotten a chance to ask the question yet, but Sarah knew what what coming when he pulled out a little box and got down on one knee, and she knew her answer. She knew what was coming was a future together with Matt, a perfect fit for her life, her dreams her desires, and she knew her answer—but he did still need to ask! So after letting him tell her the reasons why he loves her and asking her to spend the rest of their lives together, Sarah could finally and definitely tell Matt, “YES!”

Sarah and Matt are an amazing couple that I got to know through the Navigators at Penn State. Apart, they are sweet, kind, SMART people who have big hearts for listening to where the Lord is calling them to go. Together, they are sweeter, kinder, smarter, and have endless possibilities in the ways they will leave a mark on this world. After graduation this past May, Matt moved down to Baltimore for an engineering job, and Sarah went to the land of the Buckeyes to begin earning not just her masters, but her P.H.D. in Sociology (told you they are smart!), and after four years living just a few blocks away from each other, plane rides and weekend schedules are now a part of their relationship. I was so glad to be invited to Baltimore this past weekend to hang out, catch up, and take some pictures of this amazing couple!

It was COLD. Not just cold, but WINDY. And not just windy, but on-the-water kind of windy. There were a lot of bear hugs and a lot of breaks in this session! (Including some really fun shopping breaks in Fell’s Point!) But Sarah and Matt are champions, and honestly, looking at these images it’s hard for me to remember how frigid it was. How’s that for some fantastic modeling?

Enjoy some of my favorites from this sweet, chilly shoot!

Truly, you guys, this was in the first five minutes of shooting. DANG! Sarah and Matt, you can work it! You know I love this! Good gravy, Sarah, I can’t wait to photograph you as a bride! I found no ravens in Baltimore, but a whole lot of pigeons. Who wants to tell the city they’ve misnamed their football team?

It was freezing here, but Sarah and Matt, you are amazing! Definitely a favorite on the right! Piers are a little cold and windy.
