An Exciting Announcement…

As someone Penn State-obsessed, I spent four years oogling at the adorable baby clothes that Penn Staters could dress their children in. Adorable little Nittany Lion suits, miniature cheerleader uniforms, tiny baby onesies with the Penn State logo emblazoned on them. I wished to know a tiny baby who I could deck out in Penn State gear, destining them for a life as a Nittany Lion. Also because babies are adorable and fun and so squishy. But, alas, there were no babies in my life.

When my sister got married after the summer of my sophomore year in college, I figured I’d hit the timing jackpot. She is a Penn State grad as well, so she had two years to make me an aunt and give me a reason to spend all of my money on that to-die-for tiny Penn State gear. But again, alas, they wanted to wait and enjoy being newlyweds for a few years (UGH! ;) ). So I graduated without ever having a normal reason to purchase those adorable onesies, my dreams crushed.

But I’ve been keeping a secret for the last couple of months, and today I am finally allowed to let the cat out of the bag…

I’M FINALLY GOING TO BE AN AUNT!!!!

I am SO excited for my sister and her husband, Jason! And I can’t wait to meet that little baby that we’ve lovingly been calling Tater Tot :) These next six months are going to be a long wait, but so worth it to get to see that little guy/gal grow strong and healthy.

In the mean time, this weekend I got the chance to stock up on some of that baby gear I’ve always wanted to buy. The little tater tot is due at the end of August, which is perfect because I’ll have JUST enough time to educate him or her on Penn State’s football roster before the start of the season…
