Meet: Amber

Sometimes new living arrangements can be so… new.

New rooms, new furniture, new rules from your landlord, new noises from that weird pipe, new earth quake sensations that take over your home sometime… (Oh, that’s just our house? Sorry.) There may even be new roommates involved, and that bring along a whole ‘nother set of new. New habits, new responsibilities, new relationships, new bowls in the sink that have ACTUALLY BEEN THERE FOR TWO WEEKS NOW, GUYS!! (Just kidding about those bowls, we have a dish washer!!) Of course, moving into my not-so-new-anymore living arrangements, I was excited to share a home with with three other great women and have the chance to do life with them for at least the next year. I was thrilled for new friendships, new jokes, new shoes and dresses to borrow, and,—as a photog always in want of something to photograph—new subjects!! I pinky promise that wasn’t the only reason I was excited for our house, but with three roommates as pretty as mine, can you really blame me? So, for my March shooting challenge, I figured I’d practice my portraits, test out some BRAND NEW EQUIPMENT (!!), and have a fun afternoon with 2/3 of my roommates roaming around the Gainesville and Warrenton areas last weekend. Keep an eye on Facebook and the blog for Lindsay’s post later this week, and soon enough you’ll get to meet Aaren too!

But today, meet Amber. She’s a fabulous first grade teacher who is sweet, kind and intelligent. Her love for bows, lace, and anything that glitters spills over into her everyday life,  and if her laugh doesn’t at least make you crack a smile then there may be something wrong with you. Also, I’m just telling you now, she has perfect hair. Like, the kind that belongs to a Disney princess. I’m serious. Don’t believe me? Well see for yourself!

Amber is a pro with her model face…

…but she doesn’t stay serious for long.

Did I mention Amber’s perfect hair?

Such a babe. We adventured over to Warrenton for Lindsay’s portion of the shoot, but who can pass up a photo opp in front of the Red Truck red truck?
