“The colors were always purple. The location was always a Southern manor. And most importantly, it was always you.”
It’s true. Most of us girls have some sort of dream wedding planned by the time we’re old enough to pronounce (but probably not spell) “bouquet.” Being the true belle that she is, nothing would have fit Taylor’s wedding day better than the Southern Glam that was packed into every detail. Perfect purple pinstripes. Killer floral wedges. Diamond detailing everywhere and a ring that literally says BLING when you turn it into the sunlight. The details were perfect, but they weren’t the reason why Taylor had been dreaming of this day since she was a little girl in bows. Without the boy that stole her heart during 10th grade Driver’s Ed., without the Ron to her Hermione, that gorgeous, sun-filled, early summer day would have been just another pretty party. He was what mattered most.
Mat sat in a room surrounded my his best friends and closest family, reading those words in a letter from the girl who he could call wife in just a matter of hours. This towering athlete who could take anyone on the basketball court and knows how to dance a mean Stanky Leg (I’ve got the pictures to prove it), read with tears in his eyes remembering the past seven years and how first period with the cute little platinum blonde had turned into the journey that brought them to this day: the start of their love story as husband and wife. His joy- and tear-filled eyes told the room what his heart had known seven years ago: she was what mattered most.
Taylor and Mat, I am so thrilled and honored to be sharing these with you. Thank you for trusting me to be the one to capture these memories for you! It has been absolutely wild watching you two grow from crazy 10th-grade crushes to now husband and wife (ah!!) and I couldn’t possibly be more thrilled for you guys. Hope that you are having the time of your lives on your honeymoon and ENJOY reliving your day through some of my favorite images! Love you both!!
Introducing: Mr. and Mrs. Ball
Just in LOVE with Taylor’s dress!
Told you about the bling ;)
One of my favorite bridesmaids’ gifts ever!!
And OH those shoes.
Taylor DIY’d her ring bearer’s box and I adore it! Such a special momento to keep forever.
A southern girl is never fully dressed without a bow ;)
This moment between Mat and his dad had me in tears.
And I loved that Taylor and Mat found a way to talk before the ceremony—without breaking tradition!
Cutest ring bearer award!
Alwyngton Manor’s ceremony location is AH-mazing
Gah! Taylor!! You are BEAUTIFUL, my friend!
Work it, y’all.
I loved the use of chalkboards instead of escort cards and programs. And how cute are those favors!?
I was NOT lying about Mat’s Stanky Leg skills!
And I’ll leave you with this super sweet moment: ending the very last dance surrounded by their best friends in the world.
