Their love story began at a starting line—quite literally.
Steven and Bridget first met each other while participating on a relay team for the DC Ragnar Relay, a grueling 200-mile race from Cumberland, Maryland to the heart of Washington, D.C. I could stop right there and anyone reading this would be able to discern how fantastically one-of-a-kind this couple is. It takes a special kind of wonderful craziness to even sign up for such a race, and the fact that Bridget and Steven have now ran it together multiple times is a testament to how perfectly they were made for each other. Last year, Steven decided make the race an even bigger landmark of their relationship, and got down on one knee during a group photo at the finish line, asking Bridget to spend the rest of their lives together.
So it only made sense to begin this next chapter of their life together back at the start: Rocky Gap State Park in Cumberland Maryland. This gorgeous park that plays host to the Ragnar Relay once a year, but this year, it also had the high honor of being the site where Steven and Bridget said, “I Do” and celebrated their love with friends and family. When these two told me about some of the special details that they were planning for the day, I couldn’t wait! From Bridget’s classy and non-bridal wedding gown to Steve’s custom suit that incorporated their colors, and from the heart canvas they painted together at their ceremony to the root beer float bar at their reception, everything was perfectly Bridget and Steven.
I am so excited to share photos from this wonderful couple’s day! Steve and Bridget, a thousand Thank You’s for inviting me to be a part of such an important day. I loved getting to see your abundant love shine all day long, and I hope that you will absolutely enjoy getting to relive your day through your photos! So, without further ado…
Introducing: Mr. Putansu and MRS. O’Brien!
You’re going to LOVE Bridget’s dress. It was the perfect gown for her!
And how great is Steven’s suit?
Beautiful, Bridget! I love this!
First look time! :) Steven was waiting for Bridget at the other end of this bridge, and about five steps in Bridget decided that walking was too slow and took off running towards him! It was perfect.
So much happiness!
This one’s a favorite!
As the avid runners you know them to be, Bridget and Steven went for a run together on their wedding morning around the lake on this trail!
How gorgeous is Rocky Gap? How adorable are these two!?
Love love loved that each girl wore a unique color.
And then it was ceremony time…
Painting their heart canvas together! And they’re MARRIED!
Love a good sibling portrait :) The cutest food labels ever!
As if there weren’t enough awesome things about these two, they also have the BEST taste in music. I didn’t pick up one of these playlist CD’s that night, but I’m so glad I could look back at the tracks to make my own playlist! It’s all I’ve been listening to as I’ve edited their images :)
Bridget’s Father-Daugher dance: one of the best I’ve ever seen! They did an Irish children’s song that Bridget and her dad would sing together when she was young. It even came with instructions for audience participation!
And then the party began!
I love a good Thriller…
Congratulations, Steven and Bridget!!
