I got to spend this weekend traveling around from a wonderful engagement session in Great Falls, Maryland to the most amazing wedding in Fredericksburg, Virginia and as I drove I was reminded of how much I love this time of year and how blessed I am to live in a place that gets to experience the full beauty of fall. Leaves like ours don’t exist in Texas! It’s amazing that I get to photograph couples in love in scenery this beautiful, and I often find myself completely wrapped up in the idea that I get to do this for a job. Seriously? It’s so amazing!! But as I drove in the never-ending traffic of I-95 on Sunday, I had a pang in my heart with the realization that I was speeding through all of this Fall gorgeousness, only getting to stop and smell the crisp air when the traffic slowed, only getting to crunch leaves with my car tires, and only seeing the beauty of the Virginia visitas from the interstate. So today, I’m taking the time to get a different view: I’m going apple picking! Boots, apple cider donuts, and thousands of leaves to crunch under my feet? What could be better!? Here’s hoping that you all get to take the time this week to stop and and enjoy the beauty of the right now. These days aren’t slowing down, friends!
Do get excited for some wonderful people showing up on the blog this week! There is so much fall goodness to share!
