When Logan first emailed me, I knew we’d get along just fine as soon as I saw his Penn State alum email address. I know that you all
think know that I’m obsessed with my alma mater, but there truly is something special about meeting other people who know and love the same place that you know and love. It is enough to make any school’s alumni one big family and a bond that often causes me to think, “NEW FRIEND!”, any time I see a Penn State bumper sticker or license plate on the road.
Monika, Logan’s fiancee, isn’t a Nittany Lion alumna herself, Logan explained, but she is gladly marrying into the family! Logan and Monika met during their time at law school in Boston, and when Monika got a job in DC with plans to move just two weeks after taking her bar exam, Logan knew that wherever Monika was, there he belonged. And now, two years after the start of their DC adventure, these two are making it official and saying I do!
Last Friday we wandered around Great Falls National Park (with thankful hearts that the shutdown had ended two days earlier!) in awe of the gorgeous weather and soaking in the beautiful fall light. Monika and Logan are two of the sweetest, smartest people I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know, and I am so excited to share some of their engagement session with you! I could tell you more about how adorably in love they really are, but I’ll just let their pictures do the talking… :)
Holy SMOKES, you two! All this gorgeousness in the first five minutes!
I don’t know what it is, but the light at Great Falls is always SO magical! Love that glowiness.
Monika, this is gorgeous!
So stunning and so sweet! Love these two!
Monika’s ring is amazing not only because it is so beautiful, but because it spans three CENTURIES of Logan’s family history! The diamond was purchased in the 1800’s, the setting added in the 1900’s, and the band Logan had made specifically for Monika. Such an amazing heirloom.
Absolutely stunning, you two.
A little slow dancing to finish off the evening ;)
