Something New

There were a million reasons I needed to take the plunge. Not the least of which being that my blog design was too simple, two years old, and offered no way for brides and grooms to view a concise portfolio of my work. I needed a home for Stephanie Dee Photography on the interenet that would house a more static collection of my photos, where clients could learn about who I am without having to read 20 blog posts and could learn more about what it’s like to work with me Also, the old header image of myself was more than three years old. Yeesh. It was time to upgrade.

But by myself, I was lost. I come from a design background, but I couldn’t seem to begin to design for myself. With a million directions I wanted to go, direction was exactly what I was lacking. So I sought help and was lucky enough to find one of the most incredible humans—not to mention wonderfully talented designers—around, Ravyn of Three Fifteen Design. Together we created a brand that actually fit me. That was lovely and beautiful  and fun and all the right kinds of alive. But more than just being a beautiful logo and website and blog, Ravyn created a brand that I am proud to present to my clients. A beautiful little corner of the internet that I hope will feel just as much “at home” to them as it does to me. Because I don’t think my brand should be just about myself. How selfish would that be when nothing I do here is on my own? Every wedding, every engagement session… it’s all a team effort, a collaboration of beautiful people and real love. Which maybe isn’t a half bad way to describe this whole new look.

You may have noticed the new logo sneaking and here and there, and by now you’ve certainly already had a look at the new blog, but today I hope you’ll hop on over to one of the brand new internet homes of Stephanie Dee Photography, www.stephaniedee.com!! You’ll be greeted by a whole host of gorgeous images and a whole lot of love. Go ahead, click on over! I’ll wait right here :)

I am just so excited to FINALLY be sharing the whole of this incredible project! I a lot of TIME, thought, effort, love and hard work (certainly not just on my part) has gone into making this change a reality, and I feel like I’m finally getting the chance to show my new baby off to the world.

Of course, you can’t announce something THIS huge without a little celebration. So, to commemorate both the new brand AND the fact that over 1,000 beautiful people have liked Stephanie Dee Photography on Facebook,, there is a giveaway going on over on our Facebook page for the remainder of the week! Leave a comment and mention a friend and you’ll be entered into a random drawing for a FREE photo mini session with yours truly. I’ve NEVER done a giveaway like this before, so be sure to enter and make a little history ;) In the mean time, check out some of the B-E-A-UTIFUl paper good that I’ll have the pleasure of sending my clients this year! Letterpress and foil and embossing, OH MY. I’m pretty much in love with it all.

Foil, foil, foil. Also, I now have a small addiction to embossing. It’s ridiculous how much fun that is.
