I know maybe I’m a little biased but, I think weddings are pretty magical things.
Two separate people becoming one. All of their family and friends together in one place. Everyone dressed to the nines. A big ol’ dance party. And, of course, cake. Does it get much better than that? What if two of your wedding guests, in the midst of all of that beauty and joy and dancing and cake, met for the first time and fell in love? Sawooon. Love story city, right?
Well, that’s exactly how Heather and Joe’s adventure began. And now they’re planning their own magic-filled day after Joe asked Heather to be his best friend, his love, his wife for the rest of their lives. Double swoon.
After having to reschedule because of some crazy storms, the dark skies and raindrops that fell as I drove out to Middleburg for this session that we may have to reschedule yet again. But just I started exploring around the adorable town with Heather and Joe, the skies cleared up and the sun shone down, and we were left with one of the most beautiful evenings! It was absolutely a dream, and I think you’re gonna fall in love with this couple and their golden fall engagement just as much as I did! Enjoy a few of my favorites!
Mmm nope, I don’t think it gets much cuter than this.
Well hey there, Fall!! These gorgeous colors showed up in a random parking lot, and Heather and Joe absolutely rocked it!
Loved this alley and it’s perfect light!
On the day Joe proposed, he and Heather hung out in Middleburg for a bit before heading into DC where he would pop the question. They had spent some time that afternoon at this cute little coffee shop, so I was so glad to revisit that moment during their engagement session!
A short drive to Greenhill Winery just down the road and a costume change got us ready for the most sun-drenched session ever.
At this point I’m pretty sure I was just freaking out over all the beauty ;)
We made a stop at the vineyard on our way down to the lake, and I am soo happy we did!
Pure magic, you two. Pure magic. A look at the sunset that followed the end of their session. If that’s not beauty, I don’t know what is!
