There are love stories, and then there are love stories that are so believable that they just tell themselves.
The latter normally tend to be about couples who are more than just fiancés, more than just bride and groom, more than just husband and wife. They are best friends and partners in crime. Their love shines around them in a way you can’t ignore, and just being near them gives you joy for them and for others. And this kind of over-the-moon, best friend love is exactly what Chelsea and Hayden have.
The brisk but beautiful day at Whitehall Manor in Bluemont, Virginia couldn’t have been more perfect. Colorful, bold and bright, everything about the day reflected Chelsea and Hayden’s love, and it was an absolute joy to capture. From the different jewel-toned bridesmaids dresses and the men’s colorful socks, to the incredibly brilliant bouquets and gold glitter accents at every turn, I was pretty much in a wedding photographer’s heaven. But all of that was icing on the cake compared to the chance to watch one of my childhood friends say Yes, Forever to the absolute love of her life.
Chelsea and Hayden, I can’t tell you enough how honored I was to be trusted to document this beautiful day for you and your families. You two are something special, and I just hope that these photos captured even a sliver of the joy, beauty and love that you felt on your day. I love you both and I can’t wait to see what this new adventure has in store for you!
Introducing: Mr. and Mrs. Gilmer
Chelsea’s Hayley Paige dress had me mesmerized all day long. I mean, just look at it!
The sweetest Kate Spade bow flats! Perfect for you, Chels.
I won’t even apologize for the number of times this gorgeous bouquet will appear in this post. It’s a visual treat and I don’t know if I’ve ever loved a bouquet more!
Gah!! Chelsea!! I can’t even handle your beauty.
…and neither could your bridesmaids ;)
You make a beautiful, beautiful bride, my friend.
First look time! The suspense :)
I just love you two!
Absolutely stunning. Can you guys get married every weekend?
And can we just take a moment to talk about the back of Chelsea’s dress? Loved Matoli’s angle on this one!
Hayden, sir. Let’s get you and your wife a modeling contract.
Love, love, love.
Just Dad checking out portrait time ;)
Honestly, Chelsea. Your beauty is classic.
Dog cufflinks! A gift from Chels and Hayden’s pup, Lacey ;)
Y’all ready for a whole lotta color?!

A million thank you’s to my second shooter for the day, Matoli, for this incredible shot.
Nothing like a few minutes for sunset portraits.
Get ready for the most beautifully colorful reception you’ve ever seen!
How impossibly fun are these swizzle sticks? I want these in my every day life!
Has there even been a cake that better reflected the day?
Some of the best bridal party entrances I’ve ever seen! Complete with a golf swing…
And a new brother/sister flip!
A garter removal for the books ;)
