I drove up over the mountain I’d driven 100 times when I’d come home from college for weekends or breaks, but this time was just a little different. For one, I wasn’t headed home, but towards my last wedding of the season, the wedding of two of the sunniest souls you’ll ever meet. And this time as I drove over that mountain early in the morning, there was a fresh layer of snow on the ground. Though it was beautiful, I had little time to take in the gorgeous scenery as my hands gripped the steering wheel very firmly and my eyes stayed glued to the road ahead of me. After a little bit of slipping and sliding on the mountainside, needless to say, my nerves were a just a little on edge.
But that all changed when I walked into the farmhouse where Hannah and her ladies were getting ready. Warmth and love filled the place to the brim, and Hannah’s big hug, full of excitement, let me know that this way going to be a joy filled day from start to finish. Not that I expected anything less. When I first met Hannah over two years ago, her bubbly, sweet spirit was the very first thing I noticed about her. And the first time I got to meet her and Alex together? Phew, those two couldn’t keep the smiles off of their faces! It is always incredible to get to be a part of a wedding day for two souls so in love, but when a sweet friend like Hannah is the bride… that my friends is the cherry on top of a gloriously wonderful sundae.
From the fresh layer of snow, to the gorgeous sunny bouquets each girl carried, to the DONUT CAKE, Hannah and Alex’s day was the epitome of beautiful. I was so honored to get to share in the joy with you two, and I am thrilled to the max to share some of my favorites with you! Enjoy!
