Pay attention, boys, this post contains some important information for you especially.
We all know that we live in an era of texts and snapchats and—shudder—Facebook messages. There are a million ways to quickly have a “conversation” with another person, but sometimes at the end of the day, none of them really end up feeling like a conversation at all. So when Will actually picked up the phone and CALLED Tori to ask her out on a date after getting her number, she paid attention. Who was this boy who had the guts to actually let her hear the vulnerability in his voice as he asked her to dinner and drinks?
Her future husband, that’s who.
I’d known Will since our high school days, when we suffered in Calculus class together. College and Adult Life meant that we didn’t keep in the closest of touch but with many thanks to social media, we got to keep up with each other’s lives a little bit. When I started seeing Tori pop up in his photos and status updates every now and then, I loved how great of a fit they seemed for each other—both music-loving, nature-exploring adventurers who love good beer and great food. Not much makes me happier than seeing old friends find their perfect match.
Except for maybe when old friends find their perfect match and then ask them to spend the rest of their lives hanging out and exploring together, that might be the tops! After Will proposed on a beautiful (and envy-inducing) Sonoma/Yosemite trip, I was so thrilled to get a message from Tori introducing herself and asking about photography. I immediately felt like I’d met the sweetest new friend.
And just a few weeks later, I got the chance to tag along with this sweet and saucy pair to Will’s bay house, the place where he’d spent his summers growing up and where he and Tori had since spent many a lovely summer weekend. It was the perfect setting for a little canoe action and some classic campfire s’mores. I am beyond excited to share this set with you all so that you can have as big a crush on Tori and Will as I do!
